Compensation Pay Range

$16.50 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance payments or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Overview

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service and will support store management in accomplishing assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Functions
  • Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
  • Promptly greet retail/walk‑in customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
  • Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
  • Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
  • Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone, accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee.
  • Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and/or checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
  • Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, in accordance with company policies.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
  • Assist with completion of daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
  • Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, etc.
  • Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training.
  • Perform various in‑store services for customers where state and local laws allow (install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.).
  • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries (driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities
  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
  • Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
  • Desired:

    • Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service.
    • ASE certification.
    • Fluency in multiple languages;
      Spanish is highly desired.
