Job title:
General Merchandise Team Leader. The pay range per hour is $25.00 - $42.50. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. Responsibilities- Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, setting and updating merchandise salesfloor displays, sampling, promotions and price changes.
- Educate your team on how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
- Help assess reporting to identify gaps in GM processes and develop plans for improvement for review and approval by your direct leader.
- Act as an expert of operations, accuracy, process and efficiency.
- Lead daily execution of tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas (with guidance from your leader).
- Assist with inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and pricing for all store areas (with guidance).
- Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns, aligning with leadership priorities.
- Help establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable (with guidance).
- Lead pick, pack and ship fulfillment work when applicable, and assess fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop plans.
- Collaborate with all teams and leaders to identify priorities and ensure the store is guest-ready in alignment with leadership direction.
- Stay informed about trends and products to educate team members using internal communications tools.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team; support onboarding and learning, coaching, and development.
- Work a schedule that aligns with guest and business needs (including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends).
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
- Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead by example in safety and security practices.
- Model a safety culture by recognizing safe behaviors, addressing hazards, and ensuring timely reporting and investigation of injuries.
- Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance in-store security.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and fellow team members.

- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).
Training and requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; age 18 or older; previous retail experience preferred but not required. Ability to lead, communicate across devices, work independently and as part of a team, manage workload, and stay focused in a fast-paced environment. Welcoming attitude and effective communication skills are essential.
