Salary $165,000 - $230,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems and APIs using Python
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure to support crypto-based energy solutions
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and blockchain teams to define and deliver new features
- Own technical decision-making and guide backend engineering best practices across the team
- Drive code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation
- Optimize backend systems for reliability, scalability, and performance in a fast-paced startup environment
- Stay current with emerging technologies in crypto, distributed systems, and backend architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience developing backend software applications in Python, ideally within SaaS, fintech, startup, or product-driven environments
- High ownership, detail-orientation, and a proactive, self-directed work style
- Experience with Django is preferred, also open to Flask or Fast API
- Experience setting up CI/CDs and managing
- Cloud experience with GCP or AWS
- Experience working with databases such as Postgres
- Experience building APIs and Microservices
- Interest in crypto
- Previous experience working at a crypto exchange or DeFi company is a plus
- Exposure to LLM workflows, or other AI-native systems is a plus
- Node, Type Script, React are a plus
