LVN / LPT – Recovery & Dispensing Specialist
Location: Santa Maria, CA 93454
Schedule Options- Weekdays: Mon/Tue/Wed, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), you will play a critical role in the daily recovery journey of our patients. You will be responsible for the safe administration of medications, maintaining precise medical records, and ensuring the clinic operates in full compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a high-responsibility role that combines clinical assessment with strict pharmacy-style documentation.
CoreResponsibilities
- Medication Management: Safely dispense and administer medications; evaluate patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Compliance & Inventory: Manage the receiving, storage, and daily reconciliation of controlled substances in accordance with federal law.
- Patient Intake & Care: Orient new patients to program rules, perform triage during medical emergencies, and manage urine drug screening documentation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous patient charts, medication dosage sheets, and treatment records to ensure 100% audit readiness.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the Medical Director and Clinic Manager regarding patient progress and documentation.
- Licensure: Active California LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or LPT (Licensed Psychiatric Technician) license.
- Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Experience: Ability to triage in emergency situations and a strong eye for detail regarding documentation and "by-the-book" procedures.
- Compliance: High level of integrity regarding patient confidentiality and the handling of controlled substances.
- Unique Scheduling: Options for weekend-only shifts or a consistent 3-day weekday block.
