Overview
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking an Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher to support K-8 students in a specialized physical education setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized physical education programs for students with motor domain needs
- Motivate students to build skills, confidence, and independence
- Collaborate with school teams to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Use diverse instructional techniques tailored to individual student abilities
Minimum Requirements (APE):
- California credential (Single Subject PE, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist)
- Adapted Physical Education (APE) authorization or ability to obtain
- Three years of teaching experience (preferred)
- Experience working with special needs students in classroom or group settings (preferred)
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success
- CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Special Education Teacher –
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment (preferred)
- State Teacher Certification;

Standard Secondary Teaching preferred - State Teacher Certification;

Standard Special Teaching preferred - Endorsement:
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred - Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
