* Minimum Qualifications:

* Education:

** Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.

- *
* Licenses/Certifications:

** - Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.

- BLS Certification required.

* Skills:

** - Possess current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.

- Be sensitive to and knowledgeable about patients’ rights in the delivery of care.

- Communicate clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the developmental age of patients.

* Experience:

** - Prior experience in a clinical nursing role is preferred.
** Nature of Supervision:** - Responsible to:
Patient Care Director or Manager.
** Environment:** - Exposure to blood borne pathogens (C in OR, PACU, L & D; B in other patient care areas) and infectious diseases.

- Work in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment with the ability to adapt to varied working hours due to unexpected changes and emergencies.

* Physical Requirements:

** - Capable of handling emergency/crisis situations.

- Must be able to stand and walk extensively.

- Ability to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment.

- Requires considerable physical effort, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

- Visual and auditory acuity within normal or correctable limits.

- Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
