Information Technology Administrator

The focus of the Information Technology Administrator is to maintain and update the company’s internal network, assure security, and to assist staff with maintenance and upkeep of their hardware and software environments. This role includes SharePoint administration and other database tasks. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Oversee system, software, and network security.
• Install hardware, systems, and software; respond to and correct problems with existing hardware and software.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email, and antivirus/anti-spam measures.
• Plan and support network and computing infrastructure.
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems, and take corrective action.
• Develop and implement content organization strategies for SharePoint and other databases.
• Document problems and resolutions for future reference.

Experience in network and/or IT-related work. Server and workstation hardware experience. Windows server and Linux administration experience required. SharePoint administration skills required. Knowledge of Linux shell scripting is desired. Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Power Shell is beneficial.

Associate’s Degree in an information technology related field and Microsoft Certified Engineer award or Linux certification preferred. CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
