Position: Human Resources Business Partner / Full-time

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Business Partners are people champions and support the implementation of effective people strategy in assigned operational areas. Strategy addresses key performance results for customer service, communication, retention, employee satisfaction, and engagement. Business Partner support will encompass all areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment, retention, performance management, talent development, policy adherence and development, total rewards (benefits) and Associate and labor (union) relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred. HR certification recommended.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:

N/A

SKILLS:
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal customers at various levels in the organization
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Office suite and other software used in HR
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software, as well as providing training and support to hospital staff
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills related to record keeping and documentation
  • Exhibits effective communication and strong listening skills
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once and to work in a team setting
  • Ability to obtain data and analyze data, and present findings in formal reports
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, and conflict resolution skills through developing trusting relationships built on collaboration
  • Demonstrates key knowledge related to HR policies and procedures and all collective bargaining agreements
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current employment and labor law
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

Responsible to: HR Operations Director

ENVIRONMENT:

-Bloodborne pathogen: A

Works in clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit and work for long periods of time at a computer terminal using sound ergonomic principles. Extensive use of hands for writing and use of computer. Additionally, duties require ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop and reach. Moderate physical effort (able to lift/carry up to 15 lbs.)
