Physician Assistant- Surgical

One of our clients is looking for a Physician Assistant with surgical experience to join a collaborative surgical services team in Northern New Mexico. This role combines first-assist operating room responsibilities with outpatient clinic care, offering the opportunity to work closely with an established surgical team while delivering high-quality postoperative and procedural care.

• Provide first-assist support in the operating room
• Perform simple procedures and inpatient rounding as requested
• See postoperative patients in clinic settings
• Support surgical care coordination across specialties
• Manage clinic volumes of approximately 20–22 patients per day
• Participate in call rotation one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday)
• Support emergency department consults when on call, with physician backup available
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered surgical care environment

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active national certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
• Prior experience in surgical or procedural care preferred
• Ability to work effectively in both OR and clinic environments
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
