PT - Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist in Sports Medicine assesses and treats neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease, for pain management and promoting mobility and health as prescribed by the referring physician. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring the plan of care for patients while collaborating with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems.
• Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans.
• Perform and direct administration of all physical therapy modalities.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team throughout the treatment process.

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure.
• BLS certification via AHA required.
• Education:
  
  Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making, and time management.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
