Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (No overtime authorized)
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist will function as the primary PT provider in a predominantly outpatient orthopedic setting, with periodic inpatient responsibilities. The PT will independently perform evaluations and implement treatment plans while supervising and co-signing documentation for a Physical Therapy Technician. The ideal candidate will demonstrate cultural sensitivity, professional conduct, strong documentation skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality clinical care in support of Native American patients and their families.
Responsibilities
-Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans
-Serve as the sole PT with support from a PT tech
-Supervise and co-sign PT Tech documentation as required
-Communicate and collaborate with prescribing physicians regarding treatment plans, DME, orthotics, and referrals
-Document care using paper charting and electronic health records systems
-Provide patient, family, and caregiver education on treatment plans and exercises
-Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility policies, and cultural sensitivity practices
-Maintain and support a clean and organized therapy clinic environment
-Participate in mandatory facility orientation and trainings
-Demonstrate professionalism in dress, behavior, and patient interaction
Required Qualifications
-Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
-Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in a U.S. jurisdiction
-Current BLS certification
-Ability to successfully complete federal background checks and credentialing requirements
-Immunization and TB testing as required for healthcare workers
-Experience delivering outpatient orthopedic physical therapy care
-Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience working in Native American or rural healthcare settings
-Familiarity with IHS or government clinical systems and procedures
$100 - $110 an hourCompensation details: 100-110 Hourly Wage
