Responsibilities- Hire, train, direct and communicate performance expectations clearly and frequently, evaluate employee performance – recommend promotions, transfers and salary adjustments; identify performance problems and take action to correct, including termination.
- Maintain highly qualified staff at the branch who adheres to the latest approved allocation, including management and placing a floater pool if available.
- Develop and coach staff to provide legendary customer service to all customers and non‑customers, upholding all customer service non‑negotiables such as greeting customers with a sincere smile, appropriate use of handshake, learning and using customers’ names, processing customer requests in a timely and accurate manner, taking ownership of customer complaints and ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction, providing a sincere thank‑you and leading by example.
- Engage, motivate, and lead staff to achieve branch goals. Grow branch customers and increase product and service usage by identifying opportunities to cross‑sell and make referrals. Promote, refer, sell and cross‑sell bank products and services, including deposit, trust brokerage, insurance and credit products, to generate and increase deposit fee income and coach staff to uphold the same.
- Monitor teller line for compliance with banking regulations and bank policies and take action to resolve any compliance issues.
- Schedule and monitor daily activities of staff, including transaction approvals.
- Order daily cash requirements for the bank and manage cash vault limits as well as staff cash limits.
- Uphold all security policies and procedures and serve as primary support for the branch Security Coordinator.
- Ensure all deposit, cash, and online posting differences are reviewed and corrected daily.
- Provide backup for staff as needed and uphold all staff responsibilities.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- Sound judgement and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency with math calculations.
- Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills.
- Sales ability and persuasiveness.
- Interpersonal skills including a significant level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy and tact.
- Exceptional customer service, sales, leadership, teamwork, and management skills.
- Working knowledge of bank operations.
- Ability to develop and achieve group goals in accordance with defined parameters.
The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, reaching for work‑related tasks, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
