Personal Service Representative – St. Michael's Branch
POSITION TITLE: Personal Service Representative
REPORTS TO: Assistant Branch Manager
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB GRADE 8: $18.51 Starting Hourly Rate
WORK LOCATION: This position works on-site. Remote work is not available at this time.
JOB SUMMARYThis employee will serve as a liaison between the member and the credit union and is responsible for providing account information, opening new accounts, and professionally handling members' daily credit union needs. This employee may also possibly handle all types of requests for new loans.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES- Represent the credit union to the members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
- Accurately perform all teller functions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, processing of night deposit and mail transactions, cash advances, and issuance of official checks.
- Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
- Cross sell deposit, loan and automated services to members and complete all necessary paperwork, and system file maintenance required to complete the transaction.
- Cross sell, interview and process all types of loan applications for members.
- Complete all verifications and documents needed for loans and follow up as needed (e.g., title work).
- Perform all other assigned duties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Must be able to adapt to change.
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward staff, members and the general public.
- Travel will be required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or possess an equivalent high school diploma (G.E.D. Certificate).
- Must be capable of executing all terms & conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Work in a safety-conscious manner that ensures safe work practices to avoid risk to self or others.
- Adhere to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Requires sitting for long periods, some standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting (up to 15 lbs, occasional up to 10 lbs).
- Visual and aural acuity required.
- Finger and hand dexterity required.
- Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Must be able to access and navigate all departments at the organization's facilities.
