Overview

Community Engagement Administrative Coordinator

The Santa Fe Opera is seeking a Community Engagement Administrative Coordinator to support planning, preparation, and management of community programming and related administrative functions.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and manage all Preview Dinners; lead the setup, facilitation, and post-event wrap-up for Young Voices, ALTO (Active Learning Through Opera), NMArt Professional Development, Guilds Inc. meetings, and other community programming.
  • Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and expense tracking; maintain databases and generate reports to document program participation, feedback, and outcomes.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
  • Monitor schedules, resources, and program activities for the Community Engagement team.
  • Serve as a point of contact and liaison for other SFO Departments and external partners.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve program processes and enhance community experiences.
  • Actively contribute to strategic discussions on expanding impact through innovative programming.
  • Partner to evaluate existing initiatives and plan for sustainable growth.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (or higher) in a related field or 2 years of professional experience in related field.
  • Proven experience coordinating and executing events.
  • Exceptional ability to manage projects, schedules, and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in office tools, budget tracking software, and database systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours.
