Warehouse Associate – Night Shift – Central Garden & Pet

Central Pet Distribution is hiring experienced warehouse associates to work the night shift (Monday through Thursday) at our Santa Fe Springs, CA distribution center. You will pull merchandise to complete orders from pick tickets, load/unload trucks, and ensure safe transport of pet supply products to retailers.

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM, 10‑hour shift, 4‑day work week

• Process transactions using RF and/or pick‑to‑voice technology or paper pick tickets.
• Pick and package orders scheduled to ship that day, ensuring safe transport.
• Inspect merchandise for quality and accuracy.
• Review counts of incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices and orders.
• Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.
• Operate pallet jacks, stand‑up reach forklifts, and sit‑down forklifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Minimum 1 year relevant warehouse experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Legible reading and writing in English; basic math skills.
• Forklift and RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds safely.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Commitment to safety and alert working conditions.

• Warehouse environment with temperature changes by season.
• Potential exposure to conveyors and moving equipment.

• Hourly wage: $17.90 – $18.90 (depending on experience).
