Location:

8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday

Travel:

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales:
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities, presenting our diverse range of Japanese food ingredients and finished products to restaurants, food service providers, and other food manufacturers (OEM).
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Develop and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion:
    Travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada (approximately half of your working days) to meet with current and prospective clients, conduct product demonstrations, and attend industry events.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies and achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Reporting:
    Track sales activities, prepare regular reports on market trends, customer feedback, and sales forecasts.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Become an expert on our Japanese food items, effectively communicating their unique features and benefits to clients.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of successful outside sales experience.
  • Experience with in the food and beverage industry a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage your own schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively. This role is primarily field-based with limited in‑office duties.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada (approximately 50% of the time).
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, customer service practices, and market dynamics.
  • Bilingual Japanese and English skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the base compensation we expect for this position. Actual base compensation will vary based on geography, experience, and performance.
