Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is hiring! Join a global forging company in South Gate, CA, as a Maintenance Technician. We're looking for a hands-on problem solver with experience in air compressors, hydraulics, overhead cranes, and electrical systems. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hr (based on experience)

Shifts: Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays

• • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair machinery and mechanical equipment with minimal supervision
• Disassemble, inspect, and maintain components in hydraulic, pneumatic, and conditioning equipment
• Install, adjust, lubricate, and clean machinery as needed
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate performance records
• Test equipment after repairs and troubleshoot operational issues
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical literature
• Monitor equipment conditions and use hand tools safely and effectively

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred; equivalent experience accepted
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in reading hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic math and geometry knowledge to calculate measurements and interpret data
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and handle the demands of the job
