Production Manager, Operations Manager

We’re hiring a Production Supervisor to lead a team on the shop floor at Brown Pacific
. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with direct responsibility for safety, quality, and production results.
You’ll be leading people, solving problems in real time, and setting the tone for your shift. If you’re comfortable making decisions, holding people accountable, and being visible on the floor, this role may be a strong fit. This role may require extended hours and occasional weekend work based on operational needs.
Operational Leadership & Execution- Provide day-to-day supervision of assigned production departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
- Translate production plans into daily execution priorities and adjust staffing, sequencing, and workflow as needed to meet business demands.
- Actively troubleshoot production issues, equipment challenges, and process disruptions, escalating systemic issues as appropriate.
- Ensure work orders are executed in accordance with specifications, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Participate in and lead daily production meetings to align teams on goals, performance, and priorities.
- Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing all safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify conformance and address gaps proactively.
- Support and participate in safety investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop production employees, including performance feedback, training, and corrective action when necessary.
- Support hiring efforts in partnership with Human Resources, including interviewing, onboarding, and training development.
- Identify training needs and ensure employees are properly trained, qualified, and certified for assigned work.
- Participate in and support “Train-the-Trainer” programs, including forklift certification compliance where applicable.
- Foster accountability, teamwork, and engagement within the production workforce.
- Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and throughput.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Provide supervisory support to additional departments as business needs require.
- Support implementation of operational metrics and performance tracking.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and make independent operational decisions.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work order execution, and quality requirements.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, PPE standards, and industrial best practices.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and influence at multiple levels.
- Forklift certification experience or ability to become certified preferred.
- Experience in metals, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
