Attorney owned and operated for over 29 years, Court Appearance Professionals (CAP) is the nation’s leading provider of court appearance attorneys.
We are a dynamic and growing firm looking for an experienced Managing Director to drive the company’s operational excellence, strategic vision, and team performance. This hire will work directly with our executive team and ownership to oversee areas such as operations, financial management and compliance. They will also play a key leadership role in scaling and strategizing the growth of the firm.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve long-term goals - Team Building & Management:
Recruit, develop, and lead diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement - Operational Oversight:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and efficient workflow management - Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, track profit/loss by client and region, and ensure fiscal responsibility - Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients, and partners - Reporting:
Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the board, shareholders, and key stakeholders - Compliance & Risk:
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements; proactively manage risks - Innovation & Growth:
Identify and drive initiatives for business growth and operational innovation - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as the primary interface between staff, clients, attorneys, and the technology team, translating business needs into actionable plans and supporting technology adoption - Corporate Governance:
Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all company operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record. MBA/Advanced degree from a top tier program preferred
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in operations or general management
- Previous leadership experience in technology services industry preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated success training, developing and managing teams
- Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience creating strategy program road maps and detailed financial business cases for change
- Experience and comfort in using analytical methods to create project analyses and recommendation support
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
