OverviewA day in the life:
By 8 a.m., you’ve reviewed overnight CMMS logs, prioritized corrective work, and aligned your maintenance crew on safety, lockout/tagout, and the day’s production goals. Mid-morning, you’re shoulder-to-shoulder with a technician tracing an electrical fault using schematics and root cause analysis. After lunch, you coach the team through documenting labor hours and parts usage, then join management to close out open issues and plan for upcoming facility maintenance and small construction tasks.
Before you leave, you verify that equipment is back online and your team is ready for the next shift.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment; support general facility maintenance and light construction as needed.
- Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, modeling high standards and reinforcing management directives.
- Provide hands-on training and regular coaching to elevate technical capabilities across the team.
- Guide efficient repairs and verify quality; ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Enforce accurate CMMS documentation, including service notes, labor hours, and parts consumed.
- Champion safe work practices for the team, including proper Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and safety training compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership; participate in routine reviews to resolve issues and communicate clearly up and down the organization.
- Tackle special projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting using root cause analysis techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and maintenance procedures, including mechanical, logic, pneumatic, and fluid power diagrams.
- Solid computer literacy and basic math skills.
- Deep knowledge of safety procedures and standards, including LOTO.
- Bachelor’s degree.
