Human Resources Generalist

All City Management Services, Inc. (ACMS) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist is responsible for various HR‑related tasks, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The HR Generalist will maintain and enhance the company’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Policies & Multi‑State Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions by maintaining and updating HR policies, employee handbooks, and company forms. Stay current on employment law changes and HR best practices impacting a large, field‑based workforce.
  • Employee & Investigations:
    Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and leadership, resolving employee concerns related to attendance, performance, and conduct. Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations while partnering with leadership to ensure fair, consistent, and well‑documented outcomes.
  • Performance Management & Discipline:
    Support performance evaluations, corrective actions, and improvement efforts while guiding supervisors/managers on documentation, progressive discipline, and compliance‑focused decision‑making.
  • Leave Administration & Employee Support:
    Provide guidance and support related to employee leaves of absence, accommodations, and compensation questions, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and internal ACMS procedures.
  • Benefits Support:
    Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and related employee resources.
  • HR Data, Records & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate HR records and systems, generate reports, and analyze HR data to support compliance, audits, and operational decision‑making.
  • HR Projects & Operational Support:
    Contribute to HR initiatives such as process improvements, training development, policy rollouts, and culture‑building efforts. Collaborate with HR leadership and Operations teams on special projects and ongoing departmental priorities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, and/or PHR certification preferred.
  • Prior experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Work Environment

This is an office‑based role in a professional setting. Some filing and light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) may be required.

Pay range for the full‑time Human Resource Generalist is $65,000 – $85,000 annually and is based on experience. Position is eligible for yearly bonus and other benefits.
