We are seeking dynamic Banquet Staff members who are willing to work in various areas, including Events, Banquet Set‑up, and Kitchen Prep. As a Banquet and Event Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of conferences, corporate gatherings, fast‑paced picnics, and other special occasions.

Your exceptional serving skills, professionalism, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment will create memorable experiences for our guests. One year of banquet or serving experience is strongly preferred, along with experience in event setup, food prep, and industrial cleaning tasks. You must be willing to work in multiple areas of expertise and provide the highest level of guest service.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and greet guests with a positive attitude, answering their questions and exceeding expectations.
  • Set up buffets, beverage stations, tables, and ensure they are organized and visually appealing.
  • Assist in food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality and adherence to established standards.
  • Maintain attention to detail by following instructions carefully and delivering tasks accurately.
  • Manage time effectively to complete cleaning and maintenance tasks within designated time frames.
  • Be adaptable and willing to assist in various tasks such as dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other general cleaning duties.
  • Assist in cleaning up event areas, including clearing tables, removing trash, wiping surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with other banquet and event staff to ensure seamless service and successful event execution.
  • Operate the cash register, handle money, and determine correct change following cash handling policies.
  • Communicate accurately with runners and supervisors regarding guest count, buffet needs, and food orders.
  • Perform deep cleaning duties at the beginning and/or end of each shift, including dishwashing, chair stacking, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Report any concerns or issues to the lead team member or supervisor during the event.
  • Perform any other work assigned by the supervisor to contribute to the smooth operation of the banquet and event services.
Requirements
  • Strongly prefer at least one year of banquet or serving experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptional serving skills, including knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette, tray service, and wine service.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a neat and well‑groomed appearance and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays or heavy items, and navigate crowded event spaces.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and have flexibility with schedules.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in setting up events and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned work areas.
  • Enthusiasm to interact with guests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may range from 5 a.m. to as late as 2 a.m.
  • Uniform requirement: wear the correct company‑issued uniform for the scheduled shift.
  • Conform to company grooming and food safety hygiene requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to work past 2 a.m., as needed.
  • Obtain a CA Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire (assistance provided).
  • Complete ABC training within the first 30 days if serving alcohol.
Physical Requirements
  • Walk, bend, stretch, and stand for up to eight hours at a time.
  • Climb stairs.
  • Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds from ground to waist height.
  • Understand food service orders and ensure quality of products and equipment.
