- Clinical Practice & Case Management - Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, including patient and family education.
- Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data.
- Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning. Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes.
- Administers prescribed medications and intravenous solutions according to standards of care and hospital protocols.
- Assesses pain level in all patients using a 0–10 scale, Faces, or other approved scales to promote comfort and enable patients to participate in their healing. Provides timely/appropriate assessment and intervention. Identifies comfort function goals with patients.
- Tailors and prioritizes care to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs. Participates in planning routine transitional healthcare needs (e.g., treatment options, patient placement options, end-of-life options). Adapts standards and guidelines for individual patients.
- Associate of Nursing and six months of recent hospital, clinic or similar nursing experience (upon hire) or
- Diploma of Nursing and six months of recent hospital, clinic or similar nursing experience (upon hire) or
- Basic Life Support (CPR) (upon hire) or
- Registered Nurse: CA (upon hire) or
- Cancer Chemotherapy Provider (upon hire)
- Bachelor of Nursing (upon hire)
