Global corporation in Santa Cruz County seeking a Global Accounting Manager
. You will review and analyze financial reports compiled by subsidiary offices for compliance with global standards. You will lead the consolidation financial close process for global operations. You will communicate accounting processes and financial reporting activities to legal entities and business units. And, you will coordinate interim and annual audits in preparation for the annual audited financial statements. The ideal candidate excels in dynamic environments, builds trust quickly with stakeholders, co-workers and subsidiary partners, and maintains a high bar of organization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
Core Responsibilities
- Must have 5-10 yrs managing the global consolidation process and support year end preparation of the audited financial statements including:
- Managing interim & annual global audits and have primary responsibility for the preparation of the annual audited financial statements
- Experience with external audits/assurance practices of a global accounting firm or Big 4
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion or comparable ERP system
- Review financial results received from local accountants, reconcile inter-company transactions and investment in subsidiary activity
- Review account reconciliations and research exceptions
- Collaborate with global functions and subsidiaries to set processes and procedures for intercompany transactions
- Lead the development of standardized and ad hoc reports to support global and management reporting needs.
- Lead functional teams or projects, including leading others to solve problems
- Guide and support team members with consistent coaching, constructive feedback, and development-focused conversations to drive individual and team performance
- Cultivate a high-performing, engaged team environment by setting clear expectations, offering meaningful growth opportunities, and recognizing contributions regularly
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Certified Public Accountant required
- Domestic and international travel required up to 15%
