Located in Northern California, the team at Joby Aviation is driven by our goal of creating an affordable, all-electric air transportation system. Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality.

We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025.

The DoD Skill Bridge program is an opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. Skill Bridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences.

For Service members, Skill Bridge provides an invaluable chance to work and learn in civilian career areas. For industry partners, Skill Bridge is an opportunity to access and leverage the world’s most highly trained and motivated workforce at no cost. Service members participating in Skill Bridge receive their military compensation and benefits, and industry partners provide the training and work experience.

Skill Bridge interns may work in one of the following departments depending on candidate interest, previous experience, and business need:

• Flight Operations
• Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Mechatronics, and other related disciplines)
• Aircraft Maintenance/A&P
• Manufacturing
• Strategic Business Support/Government Affairs
• Supply Chain/Logistics
• Information Technology/Cybersecurity
