The Live Oak School District was established in 1872 and currently serves approximately 1,700 students in three elementary schools, one middle school, one K-8 independent charter school, and one alternative school.

The student population is 50% Hispanic, 31% White, 19% Other, 30% English learner, and 60% Socioeconomically disadvantaged.

Qualifications

Must be familiar with the sport; have a thorough knowledge of all rules.

Prior coaching experience with this age group desirable.

Physical Characteristics

Vision sufficient to read printed materials; hearing and speech sufficient to conduct normal in-person and telephone conversations.

Mobility sufficient to efficiently perform the duties of the position.

Should be able to lift 50 pounds.

Certification and Training

First Aid/CPR Certified.

Complete required trainings as assigned such as Concussion Awareness, Heat Illness Prevention in Student Athletes, Cardiac Arrest in Athletes, Automated External Defibrillator training.

Background Check

Candidates must pass CA Dept. Of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations background check.
