Our newly constructed facility on campus serves infants through school-age children, with separate play yards for each program, low teacher-to-child ratios, dedicated prep areas for staff, and loft spaces in every classroom. Multiple career positions are available. The Assistant Teacher is an entry-level position in the Child Development Center series. The Assistant Teacher works under the supervision of the Site Supervisor and Director of the Early Education Center. The role is responsible for general supervision and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants, preschoolers, and school-age children (ages 3 months to 12 years). The Assistant Teacher may supervise Student Teacher Aides and assists in maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.

Budgeted Salary: $24.70/hour

• Eligibility for a Child Development Permit at the Assistant Teacher level within 12 months of employment with 12 postsecondary semester units (or equivalent) in ECE or child development, including core courses and Infant & Toddler Development as per Title 22

• Experience in licensed infant/toddler/preschool settings
• Minimum of 3 semester units related to care of infants and Title 22 requirements

• Ability to obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificates
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
