Job Summary

The incumbent builds relationships to increase awareness of UCSC’s brand and enrollment numbers of targeted student populations. While the primary focus is California, the TAR also participates in outreach across the United States and international audiences.

The representative plans, develops, and implements recruitment strategies, evaluates their effectiveness, and assists with hiring, training, and supervising student staff. Liaison activities involve collaboration with academic prep programs, community-based organizations, and UC collaboratives to broaden pathways to UCSC. They staff local, state, national, and international recruitment fairs and conferences, representing the UC system and campus partners such as Alumni Association, University Relations, Financial Aid, and academic divisions.

The TAR evaluates academic records and transfer credit from internal and external institutions, determining eligibility to the University of California and performing course‑by‑course evaluations for transfer credits.
