• Bag groceries at checkout for customers and strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various bag types (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from the bottom of carts for checkout and offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather/bag bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and in parking areas; clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise; understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notify management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines; perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying relevant personnel of needed repairs.
• Create an welcoming environment by answering questions about products and assisting customers and store staff as needed.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information; follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults; perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
