THE JOB
As an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician you help deliver high‑quality emergency care. You will work alongside doctors and staff to triage, treat, perform diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical‑care nursing in a fast‑paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
- Administer medications, monitoring, and advanced techniques—IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds, etc.
- Provide anesthesia support for critical patients.
- Participate in diagnostics and imaging, sample collection, tube placement.
- Provide CPR and emergency response as a certified RECOVER professional.
- Communicate effectively as a team member and lean into leadership, shaping plans and ensuring smooth patient flow.
- Maintain a calm, compassionate presence for pet parents during stressful moments.
WHAT YOU NEED
- High school diploma (required) and associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA‑accredited program (strongly preferred).
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of VEG practice; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
- 1+ year veterinary technician experience, preferably in emergency or specialty medicine.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice‑management or EMR software.
- Excellent communication, calm under pressure, fine motor skills for handling patients and equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, lift up to 25 kg alone and up to 40 kg with assistance.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays on a rotating or as‑needed basis.
- Ability to work in noisy environments with strong or unpleasant odors.
