Hab Crew Trainer – Santa Clarita - Vocational Training for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? We are seeking a Hab Crew Trainer to provide training, supervision, and oversight for individuals performing a variety of services at businesses throughout the community. This role ensures that services are completed safely, effectively, and in alignment with customer expectations while supporting individuals in achieving personal and vocational success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and supervise individuals on work tasks, safety procedures, and the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Monitor and support work performance to ensure quality service delivery and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to individuals, documenting progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Ensure safety compliance at all worksites, including the use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Transport individuals safely to and from work sites.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of training, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with case managers and program staff to support individual goals and vocational development.
  • Act as a role model and foster a supportive, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR required or willing to obtain
  • Experience in training, supervising, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to ensure safety, quality control, and efficiency at work sites.
  • Valid California driver’s license with the ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
  • Commitment to professionalism, ethical conduct, and teamwork.

Hours and Wages:

  • Monday through Friday, typically 8:00am to 3:00pm with a half-hour unpaid lunch (32.5 hours weekly). Start and end times can vary depending on departmental needs.
