Dyno Technician

Our client, a leading automotive testing and development company is seeking a Dyno Technician to join their team. As a Dyno Technician, you will be part of the Test Engineering Department supporting the Dyno and Powertrain Testing Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dyno Technician

Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Pay Range: $28 - $38/hr (Depending on Experience)

What's the Job?

• Set-up, install, and remove hardware from component test benches.
• Set-up and calibrate instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, PID, and accelerometers.
• Execute dyno testing under the supervision of a dyno engineer, following test profiles and limits.
• Maintain and calibrate test cell equipment and general dyno hardware.
• Review test data, generate problem reports, maintain cell logs, and assist in creating user manuals.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems and tool use.
• Practical knowledge of internal combustion engines; experience with electrification hardware is a plus.
• Familiarity with dyno testing hardware and/or instrumentation; experience with PUMA or National Instruments (NI) software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to follow instructions while meeting deadlines.
