Dyno Technician

Our client, an industry leader in automotive testing and engineering, is seeking a Dyno Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Dyno Technician, you will be an integral part of the engineering support department, working closely with the dyno testing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Santa Clarita, California

Pay Range:$28.00/hr - $38.00/hr (Depending on experience)

Term: Contract

Schedule: Full time

• Set up, install, and remove engines from test cells to prepare for testing procedures.
• Configure special instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, flow, PID, accelerometers, and other sensors as directed.
• Establish test operating profiles, parameters, and limits to ensure accurate data collection.
• Execute dynamometer testing under the guidance of the dyno engineer, ensuring safety and precision.
• Perform maintenance and calibration of test cell equipment and general hardware to maintain optimal operation.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in a mechanical or engine testing environment.
• High proficiency in mechanical skills and tool use, including measuring and calibration tools.
• Hands‑on knowledge of internal combustion engines is essential.
• Experience with dyno testing hardware and instrumentation is desirable.
• Familiarity with dyno testing operation software such as PUMA or National Instruments NI is a plus.
