As a Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting the design, testing, and validation of powertrain systems. Aboutthe Role
The role centers on guiding powertrain concepts and components through the full development cycle, from early design to production‑ready validation. It involves creating detailed development and test plans, executing powertrain and dynamometer testing, and analyzing data to ensure systems meet performance, durability, and quality targets. The engineer collaborates with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, refine designs, and support continuous improvement while clearly communicating technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Responsible for creating development plans for concepts and component development.
- Looking at the full product life cycle from concept to production.
- In addition to executing the test and validations required to achieve project goals.
- B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with an emphasis in internal combustion engines or electrified power trains and associated coursework such as fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- 5 years experience with development and testing of powertrains including test planning, procedure writing, data acquisition and analysis.
- Experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing, data logging hardware and software, and test instrumentation a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences.
Strong hands‑on experience with powertrain or chassis dynamometer testing
, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with data logging hardware/software
, test instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
Solid understanding of internal combustion engines
, electrified powertrains
, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
Ability to create clear, detailed test plans, procedures, and validation documentation

Pay Range: $43.27/hr - $57.69/hr - Contract
