At least 1-year experience in Event Videography or Cinematography
Proficient in shot composition and using creative angles to capture fun, thoughtful, and special moments
Expert at capturing behind-the-scenes footage
Comfortable conducting brief on-the-spot interviews with participants and audience members
Experience working directly with clients (teaching artists and youth)
Must have your own professional grade camera with several lenses
Must have a car or reliable means of transportation to Carson, CA and Van Nuys, CA
Availability during Fall 2023

Responsibilities:

Quickly and efficiently set up shots and camera settings
Set up and light basic event spaces using lights and/or natural light
Film behind-the-scenes footage of organization staff, middle, and high school youth as they shoot their short films and prepare for their screening event
Attend and film behind-the-scenes footage of film screening
Minimum of 4 classes and 1 culminating event

We are looking for an experienced Event Videographer to join our team during Fall 2023. You should be skilled in shot composition and have a creative eye to capture fun and special moments  an Event Videographer, you will work closely with our clients, including teaching artists and youth, and be responsible for filming behind-the-scenes footage and conducting brief interviews with participants and audience members.

Additionally, you will collaborate with other videographers to maximize coverage and set up and light basic event spaces using lights and/or natural light. Basic editing skills and ease in working with youth are desired skills for this position. This position requires a car or reliable means of transportation to Carson, CA and Van Nuys, CA, and a minimum of 4 classes and 1 culminating event.

We offer a flat pay/stipend and flexible hours for this position.
