** Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting operations for the transportation company.
** Following completion of the accounting transformation to PE-standard processes, this steady-state operational role is essential to maintain our established accrual accounting systems, manage the monthly close cycle (5-day target), and supervise the accounting staff. The position will be hybrid (in-office/remote) and report to the Controller and COO. Core responsibilities include managing AP/AR/GL/payroll, performing monthly accruals (unbilled revenue and COGS matching), reconciling TMS to Quick Books, and delivering accurate financial reporting to management and investors.##

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4+ years progressive experience including 2+ years in a supervisory role is required. Quick Books expertise is essential. The ideal candidate must be proficient in all core functions including accrual accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles is required. Candidates with TMS (Transportation Management System) experience and transportation/logistics industry background is a plus, as these qualifications will significantly accelerate onboarding and ensure understanding of industry-specific accounting (load-level costing, fuel recharges, etc.).
