Purpose
The driver is responsible for safely operating delivery vans/trucks over established routes to deliver or pick-up customer-related products, materials, and/or supplies.
Essential Responsibilities- Drives company vehicles to deliver and/or pickup customer products, parts, materials, supplies, and tools
- Loads and unloads trucks by hand or by use of forklift or dolly
- Maintains mileage log for fuel cost analysis
- Verifies delivery load against shipping documents and obtains customer signature on packing slip for proof of delivery/pick-up
- Delivers customer products before 4:00 pm daily
- Certifies as Fork Lift Driver and recertifies every three years
- Maintains valid state driver license and, at least, minimum required accident insurance
- Obeys all traffic signs, local laws and regulations while operating company vehicle
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- 3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance required
