As a Senior Principal Software Engineer
, you’ll play a key leadership role in designing and delivering highly scalable, resilient, and innovative storage solutions. In this role, you will:

• Lead the full software development lifecycle
  —from feasibility and architecture to implementation, integration, testing, and final delivery
• Design and build advanced storage subsystems optimized for distributed, high‑performance environments
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams across engineering, hardware, product, and architecture to drive high quality outcomes
• Innovate with cutting‑edge technologies to solve complex systems challenges and elevate our product capabilities

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

• 12+ years of hands‑on software development experience
  , including technical leadership
• Expert proficiency in C/C++/Go
  , with strong background in Linux and distributed system programming
• In‑depth knowledge of modern storage technologies
  , from architecture through implementation
• Exceptional debugging, design, and performance optimization skills
  —especially in multi‑threaded, distributed environments
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, along with tools like Git and JIRA

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The base salary range for this position is $239,700 - $310,200.
