Cloud Software Engineer Intern

Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE: Assist cloud software engineering team with software development, testing and release.

Estimated starting hourly range is $28.15/hr - $29.80/hr

The full salary range for this position is $27.60 - 34.50/hr

The overall range for this role provides for growth beyond this initial starting salary range. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Estimated starting salary range is based upon market competitiveness and internal equity. CORE DUTIES:

1. Build features across the stack: C#/.NET APIs, React UI components, and C# WPF desktop modules as needed.

2. Use MVVM pattern in WPF (View Models, bindings, commands) to deliver features with clean architecture. Write clean, testable code and add unit/integration tests (xUnit).

3. Work with Azure cloud services (storage, messaging, secrets).

4. Debug with logs/traces, fix bugs, and improve performance and reliability.

5. Participate in code reviews, document changes, and collaborate in sprints/stand-ups.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields.

2. Familiarity with Microsoft .NET, C#.

3. Familiarity with software design and documentation principles.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Familiar with following programming languages: C#, JavaScript.

2. Experience building web applications using React

JS.

3. Experience working with WPF desktop applications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to work with office computer equipment.

2. Ability to work in a lab environment with chemical and biological materials.
