Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, and more. As manager of the software engineering division, you will apply knowledge of software architecture to oversee development tasks for applications, operating systems, and databases, following design specifications. Build enhancements within existing architecture and suggest improvements. Lead cross‑functional activities, plan operations to meet corporate specifications, and demonstrate leadership, communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities- Apply knowledge of software architecture to manage development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases according to provided design specifications.
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
- Manage and control activities in multi‑functional areas, ensuring appropriate operational planning is effectively executed.
- Assist in the development of short, medium and long‑term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
- Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.
- Influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in a related functional area.
- 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Strong communication, analytical skills and thorough understanding of product development.
- Proficient programming in Java, Python.
- Prior development experience with Identity services in Cloud or experience with IAM.
- Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields.
US hiring range: $109,200 – $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
