Responsibilities

• You will be a part of the core team that redefines how a product should be sold at Pure Storage and you will develop and deliver software product(s) and APIs to help differentiate Pure from our competitors.
• Post-delivery, assist client teams in supporting the live application, writing runbooks for operational tasks, creating metrics dashboards, and conducting knowledge transfer activities to position our clients for long-term success.

What you’ll need to bring to this role

• Understand and implement software development/engineering lifecycle concepts to drive features from conception to delivery based on product roadmap.
• Software analysis, code analysis, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.
• Develop REST APIs and work on integrations with Salesforce, Service Now, Okta and partner platforms.
• Take pride in software quality through rigorous functional testing and writing automated unit tests.
• Maintain effective client relations and rapport - delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report project risks.
• Post-delivery - assists client teams in supporting the live application and performing handoff, writing runbooks for operational tasks, creating metrics dashboards, knowledge transfer activities, positioning our clients for long term success.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional, hands-on full-stack software development experience with proficiency in microservices across AWS.
• RESTful API design and development experience in Java on cloud platforms. Experience building backend services on Node.js.
• Experience in cloud services logging, monitoring and observability using tools like Cloud Watch, Splunk, Datadog, etc.
• Experience with databases like Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL or AWS managed database services such as Amazon RDS and Dynamo
  
  DB.

Cloud and Infrastructure Expertise

• This role requires extensive, hands-on experience across core AWS services and modern Dev Ops tooling:
  Compute & Serverless (AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS RDS);
  Containerization (AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service - EKS, AWS Elastic Container Registry - ECR);
  Networking & Delivery (Cloud Front);
  Security (IAM);
  Infrastructure/OS (Linux/Unix, Docker);
  Orchestration Tools (Rancher Platform for EKS).

Engineering Quality and Fundamentals

• Testing:
  Strong commitment to Automated Test-Driven Development (TDD), including writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit (Java) and Jest (JavaScript).
• Computer Science: A good understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• CI/CD (Plus):
  Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools, particularly Argos and Spinnaker, is a significant advantage.

Location and Workplace

We are primarily an in-office environment and you will be expected to work from the office unless you are on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. The base salary range for this role is $122,000 — $184,000 USD. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
