The Multi‑Purpose Clerk may be assigned to one of several departments within the store – Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial. The Clerk is responsible for promoting sales, answering customers’ questions, providing product recommendations, and accurately processing orders. They practice safe food handling, maintain a clean work area, and ensure the department appears fresh and appealing.

• Operate check‑stand, memorize PLU codes, stock, rotate, and merchandise products.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy and quality; trim, wash, wrap, and prepare produce.
• Weigh, wrap/package, and label meat/seafood; take special requests and operate equipment such as slicers.
• Prepare, package, and label baked goods and deli products; operate ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the entire store; sweep, mop, clean restrooms, break rooms, and parking lot.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May operate forklift or baler if authorized and certified.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with urgency, be self‑motivated, proactive, and flexible.

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

Six months of related experience.

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; may lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
