FIB Technician

Adecco is hiring immediately for a FIB Technician with a local client in Santa Clara, CA. Pay is $35.00/hr.

- $36.75/hr.

• Shift: Weekend Day - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5 AM-6 PM
• Prepares samples for experiments including cleaning samples, mounting/un-mounting samples, loading FOUPs, preparing jobs for experimentation, to help evaluate performance of process system
• Prepares transmission electron microscope (TEM) lamella samples by focused ion beam (FIB) and helps to optimize sample prep procedure and conditions, identify cutting location based on pattern instructions.
• Operates metrology tools in FIB & TEM lab to help understand cross section or top view critical dimension (CD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis, take high-quality imaging pending on job assignment, identify all patterns of interest, understand image quality requirements and sample/beam interaction to determine optimized condition, finish requested jobs under limited supervision after training.
• Performs SEM/FIB/TEM system operation, routine maintenance procedures, flash, plasma clean, image calibrations, etc.
• Performs routine shutdown procedure.
• Identifies problems, puts tool down and calls for service.
• Coordinates instrument repair and maintenance.
• Orders equipment and supplies, and coordinates with vendors and purchasing.
• Interfaces with requestors, understands their detailed requirement, communicates on results, coordinates with engineering on job request status.
• Helps lab monitor jobs in the queue and maintain lab throughput.
• Adheres to lab protocol and SOPs.

• Understands basic scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/Focused Ion Beam (FIB)/Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) principles.
• Understands written instructions to perform assigned tasks.
