Preventive Maintenance Technician Job Summary

Performs preventative and routine maintenance of abatements equipment, per documented procedures. Manages the PM schedule and coordinates activities with tool owners. Follows all safety protocol, pre- and post-maintenance activity. Disassembles equipment and pump exhaust lines for cleaning and decontamination. Prepares contaminated parts and coordinates cleaning activities. Reinstalls cleaned and/or new replacement parts and assemblies. Performs system start-up and post-maintenance testing. Maintains maintenance logs and completes all required documentation.

Creates, modifies and updates Excel, Word and PowerPoint documents. Ability to perform helium leak checks after performing on-site repairs and preventative maintenance. Maintains clean work areas, tools and toolboxes.

Job Requirements
  • Ability to support compressed work, 3 day/4 day/week rotation, 12 hours/day.
  • 1-2 years of Mechanical or Electrical experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time and to walk long distances.
  • This position will come in contact with chemicals. The use of aprons, face shields and specialized gloves will be required. (All PPE and training provided)
  • Ability to utilize all required personal protective equipment including potential use of respirators.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening and background check
  • Minimum high school diploma required.
