Job DescriptionProduction Planner III Santa Clara, CA 95054 Pay 33-37/hour DOE
- 7-10 years experience providing production planning/scheduling, inventory management, or distribution support to maintain production operations and customer product availability. Under close supervision analyze planning requirements and initiate appropriate action to support master schedules or independent demands. Qualifications include a BA/BBA/BS degree plus 1-2 yrs operations/distribution experience or directly relevant technical experience
- Perform production planning/scheduling and inventory management to maintain adherence to production schedules for instruments; reagents; calibrators/controls and spares at the Santa Clara manufacturing facility. Works with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Analyze planning requirements and initiate appropriate action to support the master schedule or independent demands. Recommends alternate action to be taken if the master production schedule cannot be met. Manage material flow from external and internal suppliers through manufacturing channels to achieve maximum production efficiency; minimize waste and improve the impact to customers.
- Develop and provide demand forecasts for raw material components and finish goods. Perform system maintenance and updates to insure database integrity for planning fields and files. Monitor and maintain inventory to effectively control costs in relation to site objectives. Analyze and implement process improvements within supply chain to increase efficiencies and reduce waste . Coordinate with other departments to implement Change Requests (CRs) from a planning management perspective.
