Field Service Technician

We are in search of skilled Mechanics that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently.

As a Mechanic you would be responsible for maintaining the equipment we rent. We seek highly motivated mechanics with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred.

• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries
• Safely travel to and from customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
• Demonstrate use of rental equipment to customers
• Quickly and safely evaluate/troubleshoot worksite equipment repairs
• Maintain and make Rental Ready a variety of construction equipment and tools to ensure their safe operation and customer readiness for rental or purchase
• Perform timely check out/check in
• Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage and fuel levels
• Perform pick up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other Cresco locations for purchase and/or repair
• Follow all Cresco Operational Procedures and QC Standards
• Evaluate and complete equipment repairs
• Complete Parts Order
• Maintain Parts inventory
• Maintain Truck Parts inventory
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining shop and equipment
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times
• Inspect equipment and trucks for safety decals and compliance
• Maintain the service and appearance of assigned service truck
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Store Lead Mechanic or any Cresco Manager

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience
• Must have a driving record in Good Standing. To be in Good Standing, a Driver must present a current DMV printout report with none of the violations below*:
• Any major violations (DWI, homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene) within last three years
• Two or more other moving violations and one at fault accident in last three years
• Three or more other moving violations in last three years
• Two or more at fault accidents in last three years with no moving violations

* Drivers will not be qualified for this position if they fall within any of the 4 categories noted above during the course of employment

• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well with minimal direct supervision
• Able to read maps efficiently
• Demonstrate understanding of rental software
• Must Have Own Tools

• Previous mechanic service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field preferred

Starts at $35-$50 Dependent On Experience (must provide own tools)

Starting pay will depend on knowledge, skills, ability and the city that this open position is located
