Software Architect, Virtualization and Kubevirt

Employer Industry: Data Storage Technology

• Design, develop, and integrate virtualization features into Kubernetes-native storage offerings
• Collaborate with Kube Virt, libvirt, and QEMU to enhance virtualization capabilities in cloud-native environments
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization and storage issues across Kubernetes clusters
• Mentor team members on virtualization architecture and best practices
• Drive innovation by staying updated with emerging trends in virtualization and storage within the Kubernetes ecosystem

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing product components using C++, Java, or Go
• Strong expertise in virtualization technologies, specifically libvirt and QEMU
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals, including CRDs, controllers, and scheduling
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems

• Prior experience with the design and implementation of storage solutions for Kube Virt
• Experience contributing to or working with open-source communities, preferably Kube Virt/libvirt/QEMU
• Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills
