THE ROLE

We are looking for both aF irst-line Manager and a Senior Manager to help the Fusion team redefine how the world consumes storage infrastructure. You will lead a high-performing squad through technical delivery and deep mentorship. You will also drive broader organizational strategy and lead multiple initiatives to scale our unified data services. Whether you are building your first team or managing a complex organization, you will be the technical catalyst in unifying block,file, and object protocols into an AI-driven, multi-cloud fabric.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Scale Engineering Organizations:
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of building new teams, from strategic hiring and onboarding to fostering a culture of technical excellence, psychological safety, and rapid innovation.

• Architect Global Data Services:
Direct the technical strategy for core Fusion components—such as cloud mobility and high-availability systems—ensuring architectural decisions support massive scale and multi-cloud resilience.

• Drive Predictable

Innovation: Execute on high-impact roadmaps by optimizing agile workflows and clearing technical debt, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality, enterprise-grade releases that meet rigorous business KPIs.

• Bridge Strategy and Execution:
Act as the primary technical conduit between Product Management and Engineering, translating complex customer needs into actionable architectural requirements and long-term engineering priorities.

• Champion Technical Mentorship:
Elevate the collective capability of the organization by mentoring staff-level engineers, guiding career growth frameworks, and setting the standard for modern software development best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Distributed Systems Mastery:
Deep technical expertise in architecting and shipping large-scale enterprise software, specifically within high-availability distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, or storage protocols.

• Proven People Leadership:
Demonstrated experience managing and growing software engineering teams, with the ability to navigate varying levels of organizational complexity and scale (commensurate with level).

• Operational Excellence:
Expert-level command of delivery management, with the ability to implement lean engineering processes that balance rapid feature velocity with system stability and security.

• Strategic Communication:
Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs and project health to executive leadership while maintaining a deep, hands-on connection to the engineering team’s daily challenges.

Location:

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is: $193,000 — $317,000 USD
