Job Title
L10 Product Development Engineer FA (Night Shift)
LocationSanta Clara, California
Key Responsibilities- Perform first-level hardware triage and troubleshooting for PCs and server platforms.
- Support hardware board bring-up, diagnostics, and test development, especially for complex systems connecting over non-uniform interfaces.
- Design and implement diagnostic tools and scripts for early hardware validation and fault isolation.
- Identify and resolve setup issues and test failures using structured troubleshooting methodologies.
- Develop and maintain test automation using Shell and Python scripting.
- Validate system-level functionality across hardware interfaces including NVLink, Infiniband, Ethernet, PCIe, USB, HDMI, I2C/SPI.
- Work with motherboards and GPU platforms in lab environments.
- Work with systems connected by various networking protocols, including Ethernet, NVLink and Infiniband.
- Operate in Windows and Linux operating systems for test and debug tasks.
- Use lab test equipment for board validation and diagnostics (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support diagnostics, validation, and smooth product transitions in the NPI cycle.
Skills & Qualifications
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Hands‑on experience with servers and PCs, and hardware debugging.
- Experience with high-speed interface PCIe, board bring‑up, and diagnostics/test development.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments.
- Working knowledge of hardware protocols:
Ethernet, Infiniband, PCIe, USB, HDMI, I2C, SPI. - Experience with CPUs and GPUs.
- Proficient in using test equipment for diagnostics and validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in a high-tech or NPI environment.
- Ability to read schematics and understand hardware documentation.
- Experience with firmware and OS installation.
- Prior involvement in diagnostics development or validation framework design.
- Familiarity with NVLink or Infiniband hardware, configuration and troubleshooting.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000; final compensation will depend on geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. The role is eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits, including medical and dental benefits, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave), and other paid and unpaid leave options.
