We’re seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python skills to build and maintain data pipelines supporting clinical enrollment analytics. You’ll work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure clean, scalable, and reliable data systems.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools like Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Python to integrate data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data transformation logic to prepare data for analytics and visualization in Power BI.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability across pipelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document data lineage, metadata, and pipeline processes to support transparency and governance.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval performance by applying best practices such as indexing, partitioning, and caching.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline failures, anomalies, and data quality issues promptly.
• Enforce data security, privacy, and compliance standards within data engineering workflows.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team to improve overall data engineering capabilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and adopting new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Requirements

• Previous Data Engineering experience within a clinical or healthcare environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Python programming for data pipeline development and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud based data warehouses.
• Proficient in ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, or equivalent.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, production-grade data pipelines integrating multiple enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, planning tools).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, especially Power BI, to support business reporting needs.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and monitoring tools to ensure data integrity.
• Understanding of data security practices, governance policies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
